Electoral district of Greenslopes
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The division of Greenslopes is a Queensland Legislative Assembly electoral district in the southern Brisbane suburb of Greenslopes in the Australian state of Queensland. The electorate is centred on the Brisbane suburb of Greenslopes and stretches north to parts of Norman Park and as far south as Tarragindi.
The seat is currently held by Gary Fenlon, of the Labor Party, who first won it in the 1989 election that brought Wayne Goss and Labor to power after many decades. The seat had been traditionally held by the Liberal Party until Fenlon defeated the sitting member in 1989. He has since made it a safe Labor seat except when the Coalition won it in 1996.
