Electoral district of South Brisbane

The division of South Brisbane is a Queensland Legislative Assembly electoral division in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

The division encompasses suburbs in Brisbane's inner-south, stretching from East Brisbane to West End, and south to Fairfield. Parts of Greenslopes and Coorparoo are located in the electorate.

Queensland's deputy premier Anna Bligh (Australian Labor Party) has held the traditionally Labor-leaning seat since 1995. The Australian Greens tend to poll well in South Brisbane: in 2004, candidate Juanita Wheeler polled 20% of the vote (roughly 1000 votes less than the Liberal candidate), while the 2006 Greens candidate Gary Kane polled 21.5% of the vote.
