Galilean Electrodynamics is a journal devoted to criticism of relativity theory, quantum mechanics, and other mainstays of modern physics. It was founded by Petr Beckmann in 1989. Now in its 16th year, Galilean Electrodynamics publishes six issues per year plus two special issues.

Petr Beckmann, an electrical engineer by training spent time debating the theory of special relativity. Due to his skepticism of the consensus scientific view, some opponents claim he is a "fringe scientist".

According to its website, Galilean Electrodynamics is devoted to publishing high quality scientific papers, refereed by professional scientists, that are critical of Special Relativity, General Relativity, Quantum Mechanics, Big Bang theory and other establishment doctrines.

There is debate[citation needed] over the status of this publication as a scientific journal. The above quotation shows an aspiration toward the status of a refereed journal. However, two of the three current editorial board apparently lack academic affiliations. Critics allege[citation needed] that numerous incorrect claims have appeared in this journal over the years.
