Vesnina is considered to be a blooming all-court player; she sticks primarily to the baseline, but puts emphasis on ball placement and strategy. Vesnina is also proficient at net and can finish rallies from there after getting her opponent out of position. Her biggest weakness is widely believed to be her serve—Vesnina often double faults once or twice per game in her matches, but she has tried working on it.
