Ellen Greene

Ellen Greene (born February 22, 1951) is an American singer and actress.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Greene has appeared in New York stage productions, most famously as "Audrey" in the original off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors. She had the title role in the ill-fated Rachael Lily Rosenbloom (And Don't You Ever Forget It) in 1973. Three years later, she played Jenny in the New York Shakespeare Festival production of The Threepenny Opera, and in 1981 she co-starred in another musical flop, The Little Prince and the Aviator.

She is probably best known for her role as Audrey in the 1986 comedy, Little Shop of Horrors. Her other film credits include the 1988 drama Talk Radio the 1990 drama Pump Up the Volume and the 1994 action film Léon, directed by Luc Besson.

Greene has appeared in the TV movies Glory! Glory! and Mystery Woman: Sing Me a Murder. She has guested in episodes of a number of TV series, including Miami Vice, Cybill, Law & Order, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, Suddenly Susan, and The X-Files.

In late 2004, Greene released a solo album, entitled In His Eyes, featuring mostly cover performances of famous songs. On the album, she is accompanied by her musical director and husband, Christian Klikovits, who also wrote one of the songs.[1].
