Entertainment Rights Plc is a global media company, listed on the London Stock Exchange. Its main role is in the growth of children and family television programming.[1]

The group was established in 1999 and is focus on the creation and exploitation of major children's characters and brands. These include Postman Pat, Rupert Bear,Archibald the Rabbit, Basil Brush, and Little Red Tractor. The company has selected rights to Barbie, and Transformers. Tell-Tale Productions is wholly owned subsidiary of Entertainment Rights, which produces The Tweenies, Fun Song Factory, BB3B and Boo!.

Other shows that were associated with Entertainment Rights included The Original Adventures of Felix the Cat, Katie and Orbie, Dennis the Menace, Cubeez, and Dr. Zitbag's Transylvania Pet Shop.

In the beginning of the new millennium, the company acquired the rights to most of the Filmation library from Hallmark Entertainment (who previously acquired them from Group W Productions).

At the end of 2004 it employed on average 95 people. The company reported on June 30, 2005, that its turnover was £12.4 million.

On December 14, 2006, Entertainment Rights announced it would acquire US-based rival Classic Media for $210 million (£106.9 million). The deal was completed on January 11, 2007. Before the acquisition of Classic Media by Entertainment Rights was completed, both companies announced distribution and production agreements with Genius Products, LLC.[2]
