Epiktetos
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Athenian vase painter flourished 520 BCE to 490 BCE. A pioneer of the red-figure pottery technique though he also produced several bilingual cups. His signature is to be found on almost half of over one hundred vases attributed to him. His name translates as "newly acquired" which is most probably a reference to his slave status.
