Eric Lawrence Lively (born July 31, 1981 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American actor.

Lively's first movie was as a baby in Natalie Wood's last film, Brainstorm (1983). After graduating high school, Lively moved to New York City to study photography, his first passion.
Having guest starred in an episode of Full House at age 13, Lively returned to Los Angeles in the late 1990s and had a role in American Pie (1999). He followed this up on the television series So Weird, on which he played Carey Bell from 2000 to 2001. Lively was then a cast member of the short-lived 2003 Norm Macdonald series A Minute with Stan Hooper.
In 2005, Lively was offered two different television roles - on 24 and The L Word. He took the role on The L Word as documentary filmmaker Mark Wayland.
Lively was also part of the cast of the WB series Modern Men (March- May 2006). His last (and quite successful[citation needed]) role is in The Butterfly Effect 2, where he is the main character.
He studied photography at Parsons School for Design - New School University in New York City and he chose a recurring role on the L Word over a regular role on 24 because he felt the subject matter was more important.
He learned to play the guitar for his character on So Weird and he was an Abercrombie and Fitch model. He played Stephanie Tanner's first boyfriend on an episode of Full House. His older brother, Jason, played Rusty in National Lampoon's European Vacation.
Lively has 3 sisters, most notably actress and singer Blake Lively, and also Lori Lively and Robyn Lively, and one brother (Jason). Both his parents, Ernie Lively and Elaine Lively, and all four siblings are, or have been, in the entertainment industry. His brother-in-law is Bart Johnson.
