Escaflowne artbook

Escaflowne Movie Artbook produced by Newtype is a softcover book containing various production artwork from the movie. It was released in Japan on November 2000. It contains character, mechanical and environmental designs (printed on coarse paper) and artwork used for posters, promotional materials, and a large number of screenshots from the movie. It also contains information on various Escaflowne merchandise, and a small amount of artwork from the Escaflowne TV Series.

An art book is a fairly common supplement to anime films and series coming out in Japan, usually containing various production art such as environmental and character sketches and other types of artwork such as those used for posters and pamphlets. Also often they contain information pertaining to its source material (such as setting and character backgrounds) and merchandise related to series and/or film it covers.
