The Esperanza is a mobile armor in the anime series Gundam X. After the chaos of the mass colony drop, many civilians modified mobile weapons or made units for their personal use. One of them was the Esperanza. The Esperanza was very fast and armed with two beam guns, which proved to be powerful and highly accurate. The Esperanza was also equipped with two machine cannons, but like most mobile armors lacked any close quarters weaponry. Only one unit is confirmed to have been built and piloted by Ennil El in an attack on the Vulture land battleship Freeden. Ennil would later be attacked by the Frost brothers after accidentally discovering the secret development of the GX-9901-DX Gundam Double X. The battle ended in the destruction of the Esperanza, though Ennil herself survived the encounter.
