Est-Ouest (english title:East/West) is a 1999 french film directed by Régis Wargnier, starring Catherine Deneuve, Sandrine Bonnaire and Oleg Menshikov.
After the Second World War, Stalin invites Russian emigres to return to the motherland. It's a trap: when a shipload from France arrives in Odessa, only a physician and his family are spared execution or prison.
