Eton Group

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Eton Group consists of twelve British independent schools:

Heads of the academic departments meet annually in rotation to discuss curriculum matters of common interest. In 2005, the Office of Fair Trading concluded after a two year investigation that the Eton Group had operated as a fee-fixing cartel in breach of competition law. The bursar of Eton College, Andrew Wynn, was quoted as saying: “We do meet and talk about fees to get some idea of what other schools are thinking. We are a co-operative bunch and we are not out to slit each other’s throats.”[citation needed]

The Eton group has links to the Rugby Group and Haileybury Group of Independent Schools.
