Everglades on the Bay

Everglades on the Bay is an urban development in Miami, Florida which is currently under construction. It is located in the northern section of Downtown Miami, on Biscayne Boulevard between Northeast 3rd and 4th Streets. The complex consists of two twin towers and the Everglades Plaza. Both towers will be 538 ft (179 m) tall when complete, and each will have 49 floors. The Everglades Plaza will be a retail and community center at the base of both towers, connecting both and occupying the entire city block. The Everglades on the Bay North Tower is located at 390 Northeast 4th Street. The Everglades on the Bay South Tower is located at 346 Northeast 3rd Avenue. The main entrance to the plaza is on Biscayne Boulevard itself. The towers will provide retail on floors 1-7 and floors 8-49 will be use for residential units. The architect of the complex is Fullerton-Diaz Architects, Inc. The complex is located at the site of the former Everglades Hotel, which was demolished in January 23, 2005 to make room for the new towers. Construction is expected to be completed soon, sometime in 2007.
