Evershot

Evershot is a village in west Dorset, England, eight miles south of Yeovil. The village has a population of 206 (2001). It is believed that the village has featured in various novels by Thomas Hardy.

Evershot village hall has long been regarded as an excellent venue for live music.The Tardis-like corrugated steel building reveals an inside clad with timber creating ideal acoustics for any live performance. A capacity of 200 gives performers and audience a chance to feel part of the intimate atmosphere the hall creates.

All bands put on by the village hall committee are accompanied by a licensed bar serving draught real ale, draught lager, scrumpy, a range of wines, spirits and soft drinks.

One buildings of special interest is Summer Lodge Country House Hotel, Restaurant and Spa , which features an example for Thomas Hardy's talent as and architect.
