FC CSKA Kyiv

FC CSKA Kyiv (Ukrainian: "ЦСКА" Київ) is a Ukrainian professional football club from Kyiv, currently playing in Ukrainian First League.
Until 1993 CSKA Kyiv was called as SKA Kyiv like many other provincial army teams in the USSR. For a short while the team was based in Chernihiv somewhen in the 1970's. In 1993 team changed its name to Zbrojni Syli(ZS) - Oriana (Armed Forces - Oriana) and then to CSK ZSU (Central Sport Klub of Armed Forces of Ukraine). From 1994 to 1996 and since 2002 it carries its true name CSKA Kyiv. From 1995 to 2001 it served as second team for the future FC Arsenal Kyiv and from 1997 to 2001 it was called CSKA-2 Kyiv.
