FC Yesil Bogatyr Petropavlovsk is a Kazakhstani football club, playing in the north Kazakh city of Petropavlovsk at the Avangard Stadium. They have spent seven season in the top division between 1992 (when the Kazakh League began) and the current season. Their name is derived from the river Yesil and their sponsors the Bogatyr Access Komir Ltd coal-mining company.
The club have played under a host of different names, including Avangard, Metallist, Yesil Petropavlovsk, Access Yesil Petropavlovsk and Access GoldenGrail Petropavlovsk. They turned professional in 1968 and took part in the Soviet championships between 1968 and 1970, again between 1979 and 1984 and finally between 1988 and 1991, after which they entered Kazakh football. The club's two forwards, R. Baiburin and S. Kondratsky, both established a club record in 1992 by scoring 18 goals each in the inaugural Kazakhstan Super League. The club have provided a number of players to the Kazakhstan national football team.
