Facelift is the debut album by the heavy metal/grunge band Alice in Chains The album was released on August 21, 1990. It was also the first grunge album to reach the top 50 in America on the Billboard 200, and second to Soundgarden's Louder than Love to reach number 1 on Heatseekers, thanks mainly to the hits in "We Die Young" and "Man in the Box". The album has been certified 2x platinum by the RIAA with access sales of two million copies sold in the United States alone.
