Fanny Samaniego

Fanny Samaniego was crowned Miss Hispanidad 2004. She was born in Cuenca, Ecuador on October 25, 1980. She grew up in the coastal city of Guayaquil and arrived in Toronto, Canada around the age of 12 with her family.

In 2004, she competed in the Miss America Latina international pageant held in the Dominican Republic, where for the first time Canada placed amongst the top 6 finalists.

Samaniego has competed in the Miss World Canada 2005 contest, and placed 2nd runner-up. During the Miss World Canada contest Samaniego walked away with the beach beauty/swimsuit award. She recently competed in the Miss Universe Canada[1] 2006 contest and placed 3rd runner-up.

Fanny Samaniego competed and won awards representing Ecuador in the final of the 33rd Miss Bikini[2] International 2006 in Xiamen of southeast China's Fujian Province on Nov. 16, 2006.
