Faye Hamlin

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fanny ("Faye") Matilda Dagmar Hamlin (born October 23, 1987 in Stockholm, Sweden) was one of the original members of the Swedish pop group Play, but left in late 2003 to continue her schooling. After her departure, Janet Leon became Play's new member.

Faye was selected to be in Play by the band's manager, Laila Bagge. Bagge held a nationwide talent search and chose Faye and her best friend Rosie Munter for her new girl group. Faye had previously worked as a model and became the lead singer of Play

Faye was considered to be the lead voice of Play and, as a mezzo-soprano, she was often heard singing the melody of songs. Since leaving Play in October 2003, Faye has done further modeling work and has recorded a duet with Swedish singer Adam Appel, "Ready For Love," that was featured in the soundtrack to the 2004 Swedish documentary film Kärlekens Språk (The Language of Love). She has performed at several Swedish music festivals in addition to continuing her education.

In early 2006, Faye signed with Synk Casting, a Swedish modeling agency and is currently still modeling.
