IMDb profile

Fedora is a 1978 film whose script is dramatized from a story written by Tom Tryon and directed by Billy Wilder.

The film concerns a reclusive actress whom it describes as being very much like Greta Garbo, on whose retirement into reclusivity it is a vicious satire, and stars William Holden and Marthe Keller. Henry Fonda and Michael York appear as themselves in the film. Wilder, who had also directed the film Sunset Boulevard, hated Garbo personally and professionally, and sought to direct the film version of Tryon's story as a bitter attack on her.
