Ferry Boat Fred

Ferry Boat Fred was an Australian children's programme on ABC Kids in the 1990s. The main character is a ferry in Sydney Harbour named Fred, along with his older sister Kate Fred as well as Lou Fred. There is also the Captain who is always found asleep around the harbour. Fred owns a deckkie named Pete, who follows Fred around.

Fred has had many adventures around Sydney including:

  • A birthday surprise from Kate
  • Kate saving her brother from a cargo ship while she was taking some children to the zoo
  • A ferry race

Ferry Boat Fred is one of the most popular children's shows in Australia.

The narrator is Jack Osborn, who also provides the voices.
