Fire Services Act 1947

The Fire Services Act 1947 (amended 1959) was the primary legislation relating to firefighting operations in the UK from just after the war, until it was repealed and replaced by the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 which came about after the Independent Review of the Fire Service in the UK.
