From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
FirstEnergy Stadium is a stadium in Reading, Pennsylvania. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Reading Phillies minor league baseball team. It was opened in 1951. It holds 9,000 people. It was voted the No. 2 best place to see a baseball game by Minor League News (MLN) in 2006. It is the first American baseball stadium to reach a total attendance of ten million without ever serving a team higher than AA.
The stadium was originally known as Reading Municipal-Memorial Stadium before corporate sponsorship resulted in renaming it.
