Contents

Before joining Olympique Lyonnais, Malouda played 57 games in the French Ligue 1 championship with Châteauroux and 92 games with Guigamp where perhaps his undeniable talent first began to shine.

He has 22 caps with the French national team, scoring 3 goals.

Malouda was included in the French squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The French left wing has started all but the first game of the tournament. He has made a very good impact on the French national team. He won a controversial penalty for France in the World Cup final in 2006 against Italy, which was converted into a goal by Zinedine Zidane.

Malouda missed the first game of World Cup 2006 having to have an operation to remove 'piles'. Florent only wears red or blue boots for France and club.
