Folawiyo Onibuje (born 25 September 1984) is a Nigerian football player, currently playing for League Two team Wycombe Wanderers after signing from Swindon. Onibuje signed an initial contract to keep him at Wycombe until June 2007.
At 6"6' Fola is a giant striker with a real presence on the football pitch. His mazy runs, somewhat surprising considering his size, aerial ability and natural pace (before embarking on a professional football career, Fola represented Great Britain on the athletics field at the 200m and 400m sprints) earned him a contract with Cambridge United F.C. for the 2005-06 season after impressing with 3 goals in as many games in pre-season friendlies. This followed unsuccessful spells at Huddersfield Town F.C., Barnsley F.C. and Peterborough United F.C., however having established himself as a first-team player and regular goal scorer at Cambridge he was released at the end of the 2005/06.
Onibuje became Swindon manager Dennis Wise's 2nd signing of the 2006 pre-season - signing a 3-month contract, which was later extended to a year in late August of the same year. He signed for Brentford on a two-month loan on November 10, 2006 to cover for injured target man Lloyd Owusu, after he was considered surplus to requirements by newly appointed Swindon boss Paul Sturrock. He was recalled by Swindon on December 30, 2006 but on 1 January 2007 he moved clubs again, this time to Wycombe Wanderers.
