Football in Luxembourg
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Football in Luxembourg is the most popular spectator sport, one of the most popular participation sports, and the closest that Luxembourg has to a national sport. It is governed by the Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF), which is a member of FIFA and UEFA. The FLF organises the main national team and other representative sides, in additional to the main domestic competitions: the National Division and the Luxembourg Cup.
Since there are no large-scale Luxembourg stadiums, the national team often plays home international matches in the nearby French city of Metz.
