Ford Hiroshi Konno (born January 1, 1933) swam at McKinley High School (Hawaii) and the Ohio State University.
He won four medals at the 1952 and 1956 Olympic Games. In Helsinki, Finland, Konno won gold medals in the 1,500-meter freestyle and the 4 X 200-meter freestyle relay. His time of 18:30:3 in the 1,500 freestyle was an Olympic record. He also won a silver medal in the 400 meter freestyle. In 1956, he won a silver in the 4 X 200 meter freestyle relay. He is a member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
