Fort Gillem is a U.S. Army military base located in Forest Park, Georgia, on the southwest edge of Atlanta. Founded in 1941, it is a satellite part of nearby Fort McPherson. The base houses many different supply and support units. It employs 456 active duty personnel, 1,663 Army reservist, and 1,667 civilians. In 1973, its 1,465 acres were annexed by Forest Park. Lieutenant General Russel L. Honoré makes his home nearby.

On May 13, 2005, the Base Realignment and Closure commission recommended that this base be closed. This may be subject to change by the President of the United States and the United States Congress.
