South Fort Myers is an unincorporated area of Lee County, Florida, United States. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2000 the area had a population of 49,912.

The location is not a Census-Designated Place (CDP); however, local media and residents refer to this area, which is bordered by the corporate limits of Fort Myers to the north; Lehigh Acres CDP to the east; San Carlos Park CDP to the south, the town of Fort Myers Beach to the southwest; and the Caloosahatchee River and the city limits of Cape Coral to the west, as "South Fort Myers."

In addition, Southwest Florida International Airport, which serves Southwest Florida including primarily Charlotte, Collier, and Lee Counties on Florida's Gulf Coast, is located in the area.
