Frederick is a city in Tillman County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 4,637 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Tillman CountyGR6. This is an agriculture based community primarily with wheat, cotton, and cattle. The public school team name is the Bombers, and they play football at the Bomber Bowl. Frederick was a football powerhouse, in the 1990's, winning the class 3-A State Championship in 1993, 1994, 1995 and the class 2-A State Championship in 1996.

Frederick is also one of a small number of towns in Oklahoma to still have a Carnegie Library as its public library.

Frederick was visited in April of 1905 by then President Theodore Roosevelt, for a Wolf hunt.

Frederick is located at 34°23′25″N, 99°0′58″W (34.390171, -99.016107)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 12.9 km² (5.0 mi²). 12.8 km² (5.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.20% is water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 4,637 people, 1,797 households, and 1,211 families residing in the city. The population density was 361.0/km² (935.3/mi²). There were 2,145 housing units at an average density of 167.0/km² (432.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 68.04% White, 11.32% African American, 2.80% Native American, 0.43% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 13.85% from other races, and 3.52% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 22.02% of the population.

There were 1,797 households out of which 30.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.9% were married couples living together, 12.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.6% were non-families. 29.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.51 and the average family size was 3.12.

In the city the population was spread out with 27.1% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 23.3% from 25 to 44, 21.3% from 45 to 64, and 20.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 87.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 80.7 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $22,190, and the median income for a family was $28,724. Males had a median income of $22,324 versus $18,033 for females. The per capita income for the city was $13,575. About 19.0% of families and 23.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 33.9% of those under age 18 and 15.8% of those age 65 or over.
