Fremont - Daly City Line

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Fremont - Daly City Line of the Bay Area Rapid Transit system in the San Francisco Bay Area consists of 19 metro stations from Fremont to Daly City. It passes through Union City, California, Hayward, San Leandro, Oakland, and San Francisco. This is the only line that shares all of its track with another.

This line operates during the daytime, Monday through Saturday. There is no service on weeknights, Saturday nights, or at any time on Sundays. Passengers who wish to travel to/from Fremont and San Francisco/Daly City at these times must transfer between the Richmond - Fremont Line and the Dublin/Pleasanton Line. Transfer with the Pittsburg/Bay Point Line is also possible, but the timing of the transfer may not be convenient.

BART lines are usually not referred to by the color that identifies them on official system maps, so this line is rarely called the Green Line and the term is never used by BART officials. It is sometimes called the Fremont Line.
