From Her to Eternity is the debut album released by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in 1984. The title is a pun on the book/movie From Here to Eternity.
The band is seen playing a live performance of the title track in the 1987 Wim Wenders film Der Himmel Über Berlin.

NOTE: The original vinyl LP did not contain "In the Ghetto" or "The Moon Is in the Gutter", which were the A- and B-side, respectively, of a single that was released after the LP debuted. The last track on the CD, the 1987 version of "From Her to Eternity", also did not appear on the original LP.
- "Avalanche" is a cover of the Leonard Cohen song (which later appeared on Original Seeds).
- "Well of Misery" is partly in the style of a rhythmic work song or sea shanty.
- "From Her to Eternity" - the title is a pun on the movie From Here to Eternity.
- "In the Ghetto" is a version of the Elvis song written by Mac Davis.
- "Saint Huck" - Cave's lyrics make reference to Huckleberry Finn, The Odyssey and Elvis.
