Three singles were released from this album, "Sugar We're Goin' Down" being the first, "Dance, Dance" the second, and "A Little Less Sixteen Candles, a Little More 'Touch Me'" the third.

  • It has been previously reported that the song "Our Lawyers Made Us Change the Name of This Song So We Wouldn't Get Sued" was called "I Liked You a Whole Lot Better Before You Became a Fucking MySpace Whore" before Fall Out Boy's lawyers intervened and made them change the title. The song was actually originally called "My Name is David Ruffin... And These Are The Temptations." [1] While the lawyers did indeed suggest a title change, "I Liked You a Whole Lot Better Before You Became a Fucking MySpace Whore" is a completely different track, which Pete Wentz promises will be put on Infinity on High (now also with a title change as well due to legal reasons). [2]
  • The song "Champagne for My Real Friends, Real Pain for My Sham Friends" is taken from a quote by Edward Norton in the film, 25th Hour.
  • The second line of the pre-chorus, "...I keep telling myself I'm not the desperate type" in the song "7 Minutes in Heaven" is sung by Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco.
  • The screaming vocals in the song "I Slept with Someone from Fall Out Boy and All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written about Me" are done by Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory, as well as Pete Wentz.
  • The abbreviation of the album itself is "F.U.C.T." (said as "fucked"). During promotions for the album the band would say to "go get F.U.C.T.!"
  • The cover depicts a van accident that the band had before the release of the album. The limited edition version depicts an actual photo of the accident.
  • Atavan Halen is a reference to Wentz's overdose on Ativan, and a reference to the band Van Halen.[3]
  • The song "Get Busy Living Or Get Busy Dying (Do Your Part To Save The Scene And Stop Going To Shows) is called "You're A Concrete Boy Now" in Borders Music Samples directory
  • The song "I Slept with Someone from Fall Out Boy and All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written about Me" is featured in the movie Stick It
