Gee Street Records

Gee Street Records was a British hip hop record label run by Jon Baker and DJ Richie Rich, formed in 1990. It operated as a subsidiary of Island Records until it was acquired by V2 Records in 1996.
Perhaps the first British hip hop label,[verification needed] Gee Street brought the likes of Jungle Brothers & Queen Latifah to the attention of the UK public with Top 20 Hits and also developed its own domestic roster, Richie Rich, Outlaw Posse, Stereo MC's & PM Dawn.
