The Association of American Geographers (AAG) is an educational and scientific society aimed at advancing the understanding of, study of, and importance of geography and related fields.

The organization was founded on 29 December 1904 in Philadelphia, and was amalgamated with the American Society of Professional Geographers on 29 December 1948 in Madison, Wisconsin.

Currently, the association counts its membership as over 9,000. It represents one of the largest geographical associations in North America. The organization unites students, professors, researchers, lawyers, and other scientists across the entire North American continent. Its headquarters are in Washington, DC.

The Annals of the Association of American Geographers and The Professional Geographer are the association's flagship journals.
