Elias George Basevi (1 April 1794–16 October 1845) was an English architect famous for designing buildings such as the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge and Belgrave Square London. He died by falling off the tower of Ely Cathedral while attempting to survey it. Fellow of the Royal Society in 1843.

Basevi was a pupil of Sir John Soane.
