Gethin Jones

Gethin Clifford Jones (born 12 February 1978, in Cardiff, Wales) is a British television presenter.

He studied Economics and Geography, before he made his television debut in 1997 as a contestant on Blind Date. He later became a presenter of children's programmes for S4C such as Popty, the Welsh equivalent of Top of the Pops, Mas Draw and Uned 5. He also appeared as one of the Mutants in the Mighty Boosh series 1 episode, Mutants

In 2003, Jones won the title of Company Magazine’s bachelor of the year. He also co-presented Mardi Gras in Cardiff, in front of 40,000 people, introducing bands and other live acts.

On 26 April 2005, Jones became the 31st presenter of the long-running BBC children's series Blue Peter. He is qualified to fly a plane, and was also captain of rugby whilst at university, where he enjoyed winning the Northern British University Sport Association Championships, and also represented the Lancashire under 21's teams.

Jones is a keen footballer, tennis player and golfer and in football, supports Everton F.C.. He is also extremely musically talented, being Grade 8 violin and Grade 6 piano, and the leader of three consecutive county orchestras.

In 2006, Jones appeared as a Cyberman in an episode of Doctor Who.
