Gillian Gilbert

Gillian Gilbert (born Gillian Lesley Gilbert, 27 January 1961 in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England) is a British musician, best known as a member of the Manchester band New Order and a founder member of The Other Two. Gilbert is a keyboardist and guitarist.
In 2001 she was replaced by Phil Cunningham in New Order's line-up as she left to look after one of her and Stephen's young daughters who became ill at the time. Another reason for leaving was the belief that it would be easier to replace her than it would Stephen [1].
She is married to bandmate Stephen Morris, New Order's drummer. Gilbert and Morris have recorded as The Other Two. She is the Other Two's lead vocalist, and her voice can be heard on four New Order tracks: the 1981 single "Procession"; "Avalanche" from the album Republic on which she sang a single word, "faith"; "Doubts Even Here" from their first album, Movement, on which she provided a spoken-word background vocal; and "Someone Like You" from 2001's comeback album Get Ready. She and Morris live in Macclesfield.
