From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

His eminence Giulio Gabrielli (the younger) (November 14, 1746 - September 26, 1822) was of the Catholic Church's cardinals. He was part of the Roman Curia, and later archbishop of Sinigaglia 18081816.

Gabrielli was born in Gubbio, Italy. He was created a cardinal in the consistory of February 23, 1801, by Pope Pius VII and served as Cardinal Secretary of State from 1808 to 1814. The French arrested him in his office at the Quirinal Palace in Rome and deported him to France in 1808, during the reign of Pius VII, and later returned to Rome. He served as prefect of the Sacred Congregation of the Council from 1814 to 1820. He died in Albano Laziale.

He was related to Cardinal Giulio Gabrielli the elder (created a cardinal in 1641).
