Goofy holler
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Goofy holler is a stock sound effect that turns up frequently in Disney cartoons and films. It is the cry Goofy makes when falling or being launched into the air a great distance. Goofy may also cry out when struck with considerable force. The holler was originally recorded by yodeller Hannès Schrolle and, in subsequent short shorts, was replaced by George Johnson.[citation needed] Bill Farmer, the current voice of Goofy, demonstrated his ability to perform the "Goofy Holler" in the Disney Treasures DVD The Complete Goofy.
The term "Goofy holler" is believed to have originated from the Internet Movie Database, on the A Goofy Movie trivia page.
