Goose Island Brewery is a brewery located in Chicago, Illinois, opened in 1988 by University of Iowa MBA alumnus John Hall.
Goose Island produces several year-round and seasonal styles of craft beer, the best-known of which is Honker's Ale. Goose Island also offers Root Beer and various sodas including Orange Cream and Grape soda. In addition to distributing beers into 15 states, the business operates two brewpubs in Chicago, one in Wrigleyville and another in Lincoln Park.
The brewery conducts tours on Sundays at the Clybourn Brewpub or by special arrangement. Tours are popular and reservations are recommended.
