Contents

Like other cities in the Seoul National Capital Area, Gwangmyeong is closely tied to the Seoul transportation network. Seoul Subway Line 7 passes through the city, calling at Cheolsan and Gwangmyeong Sageori stations. It is also home to Gwangmyeong Station, a station on the Korean National Railroad serving KTX trains and trains on a spur of Line 1. It is the first station south of Seoul on the KTX.

The tombs of Yi Sun Shin (not to be confused with the admiral of the same name) and Lee Won Ik are in the city, just north of Gwangmyeong Station. Lee Won Ik's cultural relics are also on display here.
