Half-Life 2: Episode Three will be the third installment of the computer game series Half-Life 2: Episodes by Valve Corporation. It will be the last in the currently planned story arc and was planned to be released by Christmas 2007. However, given that the release date for Half-Life 2: Episode Two has been pushed back to at least September 2007 it is now unknown when Episode 3 will be released.

Like other Half-Life 2 episodes, Episode Three will follow the adventures of Gordon Freeman. There is currently little else known about the specific content of the game, Valve has said that they intend each episode to highlight a major new feature or gameplay design element. In Episode One, this was the interaction with a well developed NPC ally along with full implementation of the Source High dynamic range rendering (HDR) lighting system. In Episode Two, the focus seems to be on creating large outdoor environments and battles previously unseen in the Source engine, as well as performance and rendering enhancements to the Source engine to accommodate multi-core processor architecture.
