Hameur Bouazza (Arabic: هامور بوعزة) (born 22 February 1985 in Evry, France) is a professional footballer, usually playing for Fulham as a left winger. Although French, he plays for Algeria[1] as it is the birthplace of both his parents.

Bouazza earned a scholarship at Watford and had been in and out of the first team, scoring - in two seasons - two goals in thirty-seven games.

During the 2005-06 season Bouazza was overshadowed by Darius Henderson, Marlon King, and Ashley Young and missed a lengthy spell with a broken metatarsal but this didn't prevent him scoring three goals in nineteen games, one of which was the fourth in Watford's 4-1 win over Championship runners-Up Sheffield United.

Bouazza was loaned out to Swindon Town for part of the season, where he scored two goals in eleven games. He was a regular on the Watford substitute bench, but throughout the 2006-07 season he started most of the games, principally as a left-sided winger.

On 8 August 2007, Bouazza joined Fulham, on a four-year deal, for an initial fee of £3m, which could rise to £4m, depending on appearances, and Fulham's divisional status.

Hameur started out the season strongly making 3 appearances before he dislocated his shoulder. He returned after a few weeks into the Fulham starting eleven. He scored his first Fulham goal with a close-range free kick against Man City in a 3-3 draw at Craven Cottage (22/09/07).[2][3]

Originally contacted in November 2006 by the Fédération Algérienne de Football about the possibility of playing for the Algeria national football team, against Burkina Faso, Bouazza turned the request down, hoping for a call-up by France. He eventually accepted another offer in February, 2007, and made his debut against Libya on 7 February. Bouazza scored his first international goal for Algeria in an exciting 3-2 victory over Mali on the 20th November 2007, he scored a powerful shot from the edge of the box which the goalkeeper misjudged, now he says he can't wait to pull on an Algerian shirt again.
