Lee Harold Carmichael (born September 22, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida) is a former American football wide receiver in the NFL. He played 13 seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles (1971-1983) and one for the Dallas Cowboys (1984). He attended Southern University.
During his career Harold Carmichael was well known due to his above-average height for a NFL wide receiver, 6 feet 8 inches. He was elected to four Pro Bowls in his very productive NFL career, and led the league in receptions during the 1973 season. He was also the Eagles' top receiver of Super Bowl XV, with 6 catches for 91 yards. He ended his career with 590 receptions for 8,985 yards with 79 career touchdown catches, along with 64 rushing yards on 9 carries. Even with all of the great receivers that have come into the league since he retired from professional football over 20 years ago, he still ranks 18th all-time in career TD receptions.
Carmichael was selected to the NFL 1970s All-Decade Team by voters of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
As of 2006 Harold Carmichael is Director of Player Programs for the Eagles .
