Haven Gillespie

Haven Gillespie is a Tin Pan Alley writer. He is also a composer and lyricist who died in 1975 in Las Vegas. He is the writer of the classic Christmas song "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" as well as "You Go To My Head", "Honey" and "By the Sycamore Tree".

Gillespie left High school at the age of 16 and became a typesetter at the Cincinnati Times Star.
