"Heaven Beside You" is one of Alice in Chains' most well-known songs. It was initially released on Alice in Chains in 1995, a ballad that contrasted the heavier sound of the majority of the album. It later featured on their MTV Unplugged album in 1996, Music Bank in 1999, Greatest Hits in 2001, and The Essential Alice in Chains in 2006.
