    Hideki Okajima (岡島秀樹) (born December 25, 1975 in Kyoto, Japan) is a left-handed pitcher for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball.

    Okajima began his professional career with the Yomiuri Giants of Japan. He played with the Giants for eleven years before he was traded to the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters in 2006. In his only season with Hokkaido, he struck out 63 batters in 55 relief appearances and posted a 2.14 ERA.

    Following the 2006 season, he became an unrestricted free agent and signed a 2 year contract with an option for a third year with the Red Sox to become a lefty specialist out of the bullpen.

    In Japan, he had a career record of 34-32 with 3.36 ERA.

    He gave up a home run in his first MLB pitch.
