The High Desert Mavericks are a minor league baseball team in Adelanto, California, USA. Their Major League parent club is the Seattle Mariners. They are a "high-A" class team in the California League, and had been a farm team of the Kansas City Royals since 2005 before the switch. The Mavericks play home games at Stater Bros. Stadium; opened in 1991, the park seats 3,808 fans. It was called Mavericks Stadium before being renamed at the start of the 2006 season. Prior to moving to Adelanto, the team was located in Riverside, California and was known as the Red Wave from 1988 to 1990.
