Highcrest Middle School

Highcrest Middle School is a school for grades 5–6 in Wilmette, Illinois (USA). The principal is Dr. Cathy Rosen and the assistant principal is Elizabeth (Scheuring) Brown.

There are eighteen teachers for fifth grade & sixteen for sixth grade. Four languages are offered: Spanish, Latin, German, and French. There is also a band, an orchestra, and a group of singers. The orchestra director is Brad Butz and the band director is Michael Jampole. Classes taught are Math, Language Arts, Foreign Language, Related Arts (Drama, Art, General Music, and Technology), Social Studies, Science, Physical Education, Accelerated Math and Reading. Back at school this year is block scheduling. This means double of on class on one day and none on another. School Hours are 8:49-15:40. 1 period is 40 minutes with either a 5 or 3 minute passing period.
